I must be the first person in the world to say Robert De Niro is a great actor (in a Best Actor Oscar-winning performance no less), but fuck it I'm gonna say it anyway. The rhythmically visceral boxing scenes were amazing, especially the climactic bout with Sugar Ray Robinson. And the scene in prison. Holy shit.
My heterosexual man-love for Martin Scorsese continues unabated, although Raging Bull wouldn't be in my top three or five of his films.
(I've been Hayfever McGee for the past few weeks and have been too busy gouging out my eyes to watch any movies, but I've been getting better lately so hopefully I'll pick up the pace from now on.)
